1928 - graduated with honors from the Latvian War College. Assigned to an armoured train unit.
1930 - transfers to the Aviation Regiment.
1930, Sept.1 - Promoted to the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
1930, Sept.16 - Graduated from flight school. Posted to a fighter squadron.
May 28, 1933 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
September 9, 1934 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
1936, May 19 - flying DH9A #1 (with passenger Eriks Mellups) ground-looped the aircraft and collapsed the undercarriage.
c.1936 - re-assigned to the Aviation School as officer in charge of the aviation photo laboratory.
1939, July 14 - Recalled to active flight duty.
1941 - Skilled in a number of language, the occupying Germans assign him to their Northern Army Group to serve as an interpreter.
1944 - Assigned to the Luftwaffe Legion Lettland, (2nd Squadron) after being retrained for night flying operations.
1944 - July 23-24 - performed with distinction in an attack upon a pontoon bridge on the Velikaja River, near Pleskava. His aircraft took heavy fire, sustaining at least 17 hits.
Earned two Iron Crosses, 1st and 2nd Class, for service with the German forces.
After the war, emigrates to Australia.
1983, March 8, Died - in Melbourne, Australia
