assigned to the naval aviation section. While serving in the naval section, he was also seconded to the Aviation Regiment
as part of a program for the two branches of aviation to share latest technologies and practices.
June 9, 1928 - is granted full pilot status.
June 5, 1932 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
August 1932 - commander of the 2nd Fighter Squadron Rank: Captain
May 28, 1933 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.

April 17, 1937 - Second in Command of the Aizsargu Aviacija. Responsible for most of the technical and actual
flying duties as the C.O. was not a flier himself. Part of his role is to be a liason between the AA and the Aviation Regiment.

June 16, 1940 - he is in Valmiera where the AA are holding a training camp. On the 16th they end the camp with an Aviation
Festival. Dimza is advised by HQ of the Soviet occupation ultimatum, but is forbidden to share the information at that time.
He does, however, order the fliers to camoflage their aircraft overnight and, in the morning, he is permitted to advise them of what
is happening. The pilots do carry out the Air Show, but they were all aware that this might be the last time that they ever have
an opportunity to fly, so the event is very emotional for them.
