1917, October - mobilized with the Red Army
1919, April 16 - promoted to the rank of Captain
1919, June - deserts from the Red Army and establishes a partisan unit to the fight the bolsheviks.
June 13, 1919 - his partisan unit is recognized and approved by the Lithuanian army commander.
His group grew to about 600 men.
August 6, 1919 - his group was incorporated into the 3rd Jelgavas Infantry
fought in the battles vs. Bermont-Avalov.

1920, January 10 - Transferred to the Aviation Park, takes up duties
teaching aviation theory at the Flight school.
While performing his duties with the Aviation Park he also pursued technical studies at the University of Latvia.
1920, March - begins flight instruction
1919 - 1920 - Involved in inventorying the aircraft abandoned by
the Germans, assessing their airworthiness and establishing the Aviation
branches' repair and maintenance unit.
1921, August 11 - graduates from Flight School as a qualified pilot.
1922, September - promoted to assistant to the Commander of the Aviation Division.
1923, October 4 - installed as head of the Aviation School
1925, July 29 - Promotoed to Lieutenant-Colonel
1920 - 1929 - a member of the administration of Latvia's Aero Club.
1928, March 1 - Indans suffers injuries in a heavy aircraft wreck, requiring
him to take medical leave from his aviation duties.
Still recovering from his injuries, he is assignes as Latvian military attache to Lithuania.
1929, October 6 - returns from medical leavue to his Aviation Regiment duties.
1929, November 12-Decermber 22 - travels to Poland to inspect pilot training facilities and to evaluate potential aircraft purchases.
May 25, 1930 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
Starting in July, 1930 he renews his flying skills, taking up a wide variety of military aicraft on refresher flights.

1930, November 18 - promoted to the rank of Colonel.
1932, July 1-26 - temporarily attached to the Riga 6th Infantry unit

1932 - Indans leads a project to erect a statue commemorating the partisans of Bebrene.
May 28, 1933 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.
1933, August 23 - attends senior officer school to learn about different
and new military technologies
1934, April 11 - named assistant commander of the Aviation Division
1934, August 18 - Participates in the Aviation Festival at Kuldiga.

1934, October 1 - replaces Skurbe as Commander of the Aviation Regiment.
