• March 1, 1930 - graduates from flight school (Rank: 1st Lieutenant)
• June 21, 1936 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Valmiera.
• October, 1938 - Member of the 3rd Fighter Squadron.
• 1939 - Flight Commander in the 3rd Fighter Squadron, based in Riga and flying Gloster Gladiators and Bristol Bulldogs.
