Aug. 26, 1918 - returns to Riga and takes up studies at the Riga Polytechical Institute
Dec. 18, 1918 - called into the Latvian army and placed in the Engineer reserve
Jan. 16, 1919 - wounded in action near Lielauce
July 16, 1919 - transferred to the Aviation Group and serves as an observer for flights against Bermont-Avalov and, later, the bolsheviks
Nov. 4, 1919 - as a passenger in an aircraft piloted by P.Mardoks he suffers head injuries in a crash
May 22, 1920 - promoted to rank of captain
Sept. 10, 1920 - his first solo flight at flight school
Feb. 28, 1921 - while flying Albatros #25, the engine stopped while he was over the Daugava
river. The plane came down on the thin ice and broke through, not far from the shore.
March 10, 1921-Sept. 16, 1922 - Commander of the Aviation Division
March 16, 1921 - graduates from flight school as a qualified pilot
Sept. 11, 1921 - while flying Albatros #26 (with passenger Belavski) he lost power shortly
after takeoff at an altitude of only 15 metres. In order to avoid the hangars he veered to the
side, which stalled the plane and it fell heavily upon its wing.
After this last crash Capt. Zutte limited his aviation activity primarily to administrative duties
Oct.20, 1924-Nov.7 1925 - completed officers' advanced training school with high honors.
Nov.13, 1925 - promoted to the rank of Lt.Colonel
March 3, 1936 - at age of 50 he retires from military service
June 7, 1939 - As part of the Aviation Regiment's 20th anniversary, he is awarded the Viestura Ordenis III.class (with swords).
