In September 1927 J.Basko, Treijs and other Latvian pilots travelled to the Letov factory in Czechoslovakia to
inspect and accept the first of two batches of Letov S.16 "Smoliks" for the Latvian Air Force.
The photos show the aircraft lined up as the Latvians accept them and prepare to bring them back to Latvia.
