Source: Polish aircraft force landed near Nitaure.
Acquired: October 15, 1919
Type: Two-seater recon/bomber
Engine: 260 hp radial
Notes
The latvians never flew a Salmson, but they acquired a broken one when, on Oct.15, 1919, Polish avaitor
Adj. Dhenins with passenger Capt.Muzkovski as passenger made a forced landing near Nitaure while en route
from Vilna to Cesis.
Ltn.Deprejs and Snikeris were tasked with evaluating the badly damaged machine to determine if
it could be repaired, and they ruled that it was too damaged to be used for anything but parts.
It's original serial number was #4503 and, as it was never made airworthy, it
did not receive a Latvian serial number.
