ACS
First flown in Riga on April 28, 1940.




AIZSARDZE
"Standarts" type. Registered by the Latvian Glider Aviators Society as YL-AAP, it was taken over by the Latvian Aero Club and then transferred to the Jelgava Glider School on April 12, 1935. On Sept.22, 1935 it is renamed "Aizsardze"
September 8, 1935 - Participated in the Aviation Festival at Riga/Spilve.



ALISE
- Christened at the Kuldiga Air Festival, July 12, 1936.
- July 10, 1938 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Kuldiga.



APOGS
Christened at the Cesis Aviation Festival, September 25, 1938.



AUSEKLIS

German Rhonbussard design, it was built in 1936 by the Jelgava Glider School. Participated in the Ventspils Aviation Festival, August 9, 1936. Participated in the Sloka Aviation Festival, July 4, 1937. July 10, 1938 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Kuldiga. Crashed at Spilve by Verners Vidins, July 28, 1938.

BURBULMATE
An enclosed glider (German Hols der Teufel design), with the Jelgava Glider School 1933-1939.



C-4 (Cukurs)
The Jelgava Glider School purchased C-4 from Herberts Cukurs in 1932-33.



CIRULITIS
Christened at the Madona Aviation Festival, September 20,1936.



DAUGAVIETE
Participated, as a local glider, in the Ikskile Aviation Festival, September 6, 1936



DUJA

	A Hutter-17 type, based in Vainode. Built by the 17th Glider Aviator Group. They began work on Feb.18, 1937 and completed the job on July 24, 1937, totalling 1701 man-hours. Christened at the Vainode Aviation Festival on July 25, 1937. Participated in the Skrunda Aviation Festival, July 24, 1938. Participated in the Liepaja Aviation Festival, July 31, 1938.

DUJA
An "Iesacejs" type - appears much more primitive than the Vainode "Duja".
Christened on September 11, 1938 at Spilve.
Constructed by the 2nd Aviation Scouts.



DZELZCELNIEKS

	A Hutter-17 type, built by the 44th Glider Aviator Group, composed of employees of the railroad 6th Maintenance Division. Painted silver all over. Presented to the Latvian Aero Club on September 26, 1937.

DZELZCELNIEKS II
Built by the 44th Glider Aviator Group.
Work began on March 12, 1938, and it was christened on Aug.17, 1938.
It featured a unique design for the seat which permitted it to be moved fore or aft to control the Centre of Gravity for different pilots of varying mass.

First flown in 1939, in Riga.



DZERVE
Christened at the Liepaja Air Festival, July 5, 1936.



EDGARS LAKSEVICS
First flown in Liepaja in October 1943.



ERGLIS
Christened at the Liepaja Air Festival, July 5, 1936.



GAIGALINA

	Built by the 87th Aviation Pioneers (Liepaja) under the direction of Edvins Bekmanis. The glider was christened and introduced at the Liepaja Aviation Festival on July 31, 1938. Gaigalina was destroyed when the Liepaja hangar burnt to the ground.

GINTARAS
Built by Edvins Bruvelis, first flown in Riga and Kaunas in 1955.

	Built in 1936.

GULBIS

	Christened at the Rujiena Aviation Festival, August 2, 1936. Participated in the Rujiena Aviation Festival, July 24, 1938.

HUTTER 17
A training glider, obviously of the Hutter 17 design (apparently not given its own name) it was built by the Jelgava Glider Club (builder: Jekabsons) under license from the Austrian manufacturer in May, 1939.



HUTTER 17
A training glider of the Hutter 17 design (again, apparently not given its own name) it was built in Liepaja by Edvins Vilnis, from 1938 - Sept.1943.



HUTTER 17
A training glider of the Hutter 17 design (again, apparently not given its own name) it was built in Jelgava by by Huberts Stekelis and first flown on June 28, 1959.



JELGAVA I
A trainer glider, the German Grune Post design. Purchased, incomplete, by the Jelgava Glider School, then completed in their own workshops in 1933.



KAIJA
- Christened at the Kuldiga Air Festival, July 12, 1936.
- July 10, 1938 - participates in the Aviation Festival at Kuldiga.



KRUSTPILNIEKS

	An "Iesacejs" type, built by the 48th Glider Aviator Group, under the direction of Fricis Launics. Christened at Krustpils on Oct.3, 1937 and test-flown by G.Sacillo on the same day.

LACPLESIS

German Kondor I design, it was built in 1935 by the Jelgava Glider School. September 22, 1935 - the new glider is christened "Lacplesis" September 18, 1936 - F.Tramdachs pilots Lacplesis, under tow, from Riga to Jelgava. In 1938 a small 'Krober' 18.5-hp motor was added above the wing, converting it into a motorized glider. Participated in the Jelgava Aviation Festival, September 11, 1938.

LATVIJA
A beginners "Iesacejs" type (Wright design), built in the Jelgava Glider School.



LENTA

	A Hutter-17 type, gifted from the Lenta company to the Riga Glider School. It was built by the 21st Glider Aviator Group, made up of Lenta employees, and took 3,786 man-hours to complete. The presentation took place at Spilve on August 4, 1937, and the inaugural flight took place the same day with E.Sraders at the controls.

	Christened in 1935, based at Ludza.

MINTAVA
A beginners "Iesacejs" type (Wright design), built in the Jelgava Glider School.



NAMEISIS

PARSLA
An "Iesacejs" type, based in Vainode.



SALKA
Christened at the Matisi Aviation Festival, August 13, 1938.



SELIJA
Christened at the Jekabpils Aviation Festival, July 25, 1937.



SKAUBITIS
First flown in Krustpils in the summer of 1939.



SKAUTS
Hutter-17 type.
First flown on Oct.3, 1937 in Riga.
Actively flown in 1939.



SKRUNDA I
Participated in the Skrunda Aviation Festival, July 26, 1936.



SLOKA

	Christened at the first Sloka Aviation Festival, August 23, 1936 and the inaugural flight took place the same day, with A.Vilks at the controls.

SPRIDITIS

Built by the 32nd Aviation Pioneers (Liepaja) under the direction of Edvins Bekmanis. The glider was christened and introduced at the Liepaja Aviation Festival on July 31, 1938.

STABURAGS

	Christened at the Koknese Aviation Festival, August 29, 1937. Test flown by A.Vilks on the same day. The cost of building the glider was partially covered by the Seces Dairy and the Seces-Serene Credit Union.

TERVETE
A motorized glider (German Grunau Baby design), acquired by the Jelgava Glider School in 1939. This glider was too heavy to be properly operated with the 18.5 hp 'Krober' engine. As a result, it crashed in early September 1939 and, scheduled to be christened at the Aviation Festival on September 10, it was hastily reassembled for the ceremony, but did not fly. In the end, this aircraft only performed well when towed or launched by a launching mechanism.



VALMIERIETIS

	Christened at the Valmiera Aviation Festival, June 4, 1939.

VANADZINS
Built by the Olaine chapter of the Latvian Aero Club in their first year of existence.
Christened at the Olaine Christmas gathering on December 26, 1936.



VANAGS
Participated in the Rujiena Aviation Festival, July 24, 1938.



VEF-1

Glider was designed and built by VEF, in Riga. It was a modified Grune Post design, with a wing redesigned by Eizens Delle. With A.Pantelejevs at the controls, this aircraft completed the first sailplane loops performed in Latvia. Participated in the Krimulda Aviation Festival, August 16, 1936.

VIESTURS
A beginners "Iesacejs" type (the German Zogling design), built in the Jelgava Glider School.



YL-12

	Single-seater of the "Rhonbussard" type.

YL-13
Two-seater of the "Goevier" type.



YL-14 "Fricis Tramdachs"

Two-seater of the "Goevier" type, built by members of the Jelgava chapter of the Latvian Aero Club.. Named after Fricis Tramdachs, glider instructor from Jelgava who was killed in a crash in 1937. Photo was taken in Riga on May 21, 1940.

ZEMGALE
A beginners "Iesacejs" type (the German Zogling design), built in the Jelgava Glider School.



ZIEMELNIEKS

	Can be identified by the "VI" on its tail. Performed a glider demonstration at the Valka aerodrome on May 23, 1937 after the model aircraft competition.
